Structural features:
Plug-in type terminal block
Compatible with three types of RTB components, namely: 1756-TBCH (welding type), 1756-TBS6H (spring type), and 1756-TBNH (screw type). Users can select them according to their actual wiring process requirements. The connection of on-site cables must be achieved by inserting the dedicated slots of the detachable terminal block (RTB) into the cables.
Optical isolation design
Alan Bradley 1756-IC16 is designed with 2 independent groups, each consisting of 8 points (points 1-8 belong to Group A, and points 9-16 belong to Group B). This design not only effectively prevents high-voltage interference or fault currents from entering the backplane and damaging the controller, but also ensures reliable operation.
Back panel connector and locking mechanism
The gold-plated pins at the rear of the module are inserted into the backplate of the frame. When inserted, they enable high-speed data interaction with the CPU through the backplate. The top and bottom of the module are equipped with special long rod fastening screws, which firmly fix the module on the frame guide rails.
