Sure. It also provides overload protection and short-circuit protection, and its protection range is more comprehensive than using a thermal relay alone.
How to correctly adjust the overload protection current?
There is a calibrated adjustment knob on the front of the circuit breaker. Using a flat-head screwdriver, align the indicator arrow on the knob with the required value, which should be between 9 A and 12.5 A.
Can the circuit breaker be used for single-phase motors or pure lighting/resistance loads?
Not recommended. The Siemens 3RV6011-1KA15 is specifically designed for three-phase motors. The internal phase-break protection function and the thermal bimetallic strip are set for the startup and operation curves of three-phase motors. For single-phase loads, a single-phase circuit breaker or a regular miniature circuit breaker should be selected.
